Description

The Hays County Sheriff's Office was established on August 7, 1848. The Hays County County Sheriff's Office is is divided three bureaus: Law Enforcement Bureau, Support Services Bureau, and Corrections Bureau. The Sheriff's Office operates the county jail, provides law enforcement services to nearly 200,000 citizens, and covers a territory of approximately 680 square miles.
