On 14 September 1991 Harris County Sheriff's Department Corporal Jeffery Scott Sanford drove to a gas station and while there etered it and confrnted a male robber. He struggled with the robber and was shot and killed by a scond robber who he had not seen in the store. He was 31 years old.
